    The SAA named every spring sports senior student-athlete an SAA Player of the Week Monday. A total of 24 Stormy Petrel student-athletes earned the honor.

    The Southern Athletic Association announced the suspension of the 2020 spring sports season Friday morning. After Friday, March 20, all conference competition, spring championships and postseason awards will be suspended.

    The Oglethorpe men's lacrosse team earned a program-record 26-goal victory Saturday afternoon at the Oglethorpe Track and Field, knocking off the JWU-Denver Wildcats 28-2 to improve to 5-4 on the season.

    The Oglethorpe men's lacrosse team led from beginning to end Wednesday night in an 11-8 victory over the visiting LaGrange Panthers. The Stormy Petrels led by as many as 5 goals in the fourth quarter and held on for the 3-goal victory, improving to 4-3 on the season and snapping a two-game losing streak.
  • Men's lacrosse drops 16-3 decision at Greensboro

    The Oglethorpe men's lacrosse team fell to 3-3 on the season Saturday afternoon in North Carolina, losing to the homestanding Greensboro Pride 16-3. The Stormy Petrels scored just one goal over the final three quarters, allowing Greensboro to pull away for the victory.
  • Men's lacrosse drops 8-5 decision at Huntingdon
    February 19, 2020
    The Oglethorpe men's lacrosse team fell behind in the first half Wednesday night in Montgomery, Alabama, against the homestanding Huntingdon Hawks. Despite a late comeback by the Stormy Petrels, the deficit proved too much in an 8-5 loss. The result dropped the Petrels to 3-2 on the young season.
  • Men's lacrosse pulls away from Centenary 15-7

    The Oglethorpe men's lacrosse team improved to 3-1 on the season Saturday afternoon with a 15-7 victory over the visiting Centenary (Louisiana) Gentlemen. It marked the second straight season in which the team started 3-1 as the team led by as many as 10 goals en route to the victory.
  • Men's lacrosse falls 15-4 to Piedmont
    February 12, 2020
    The Oglethorpe men's lacrosse team fell behind the visiting Piedmont Lions early Wednesday night at the Oglethorpe Track and Field and never could catch up, eventually suffering their first loss of the season 15-4. The defeat dropped the Stormy Petrels to 2-1 on the young season.

    The Oglethorpe men's lacrosse team got off to the first 2-0 start in program history Wednesday night in Rome, coming back from a goal down in the fourth quarter to beat the homestanding Shorter Hawks 10-9.
  • Men's lacrosse gets season off to excellent start with 8-5 win over Averett

    The Oglethorpe men's lacrosse team started their season on the right foot Saturday afternoon at the Oglethorpe Track and Field, coming back from 3-1 down in the first half to knock off the visiting Averett Cougars 8-5. It marked the first time the Stormy Petrels won their season opener since their inaugural season of 2011.
