Men's track and field gets indoor season started at BSC Panther Indoor Invitational

The Oglethorpe men's track and field team got their indoor season started Friday at the BSC Panther Indoor Invitational in Birmingham, Alabama. The Stormy Petrels scored no team points, but did see some in their ranks shake off the rust headed into the bulk of the season starting in January.

Sophomore Bryce McNealey led the way, finishing 14th in the 400 meters with a time of 51 seconds. That put him in the top half of the field and first among Division III participants. He also earned a 24th-place finish in the 200 meters, coming in second among Division III athletes in 23.31 seconds.

The Petrels now head into winter break, but will return to the Birmingham CrossPlex on Jan. 19 to continue their indoor season at the Emory Crossplex Showdown.
