Women's golf falls to No. 6 Williams in dual match

The Oglethorpe women's golf team fell to the sixth-ranked Williams Ephs in a dual match Sunday at the Mission Inn Resort and Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. The Ephs got around the Las Colinas course with a 27-over-par 315 while the Stormy Petrels did it in 43-over 331.

Freshman Graci Hallenbeck enjoyed the best round for the 23rd-ranked Petrels, shooting an 8-over 80 to finish tied for fourth just two strokes back of a tie between Williams' Cordelia Chan and Stella Woo. Senior Hailey Willman and Alivia Mattiace shot rounds of 10-over 82 to finish tied for sixth, four back. Junior Mara Tiger came in eighth with an 11-over 83, while senior Katie Hanley and junior Ana Garcia finished tied for ninth at 12-over 84.

The Petrels will next be in action April 15 and 16 when they head to Bessemer, Alabama, for the BSC Southern Showdown.
