2019 Women's Cross Country Season Preview
The Oglethorpe women's cross country team returns to the course on Friday with their opening meet of the season. The Stormy Petrels look to expand on a promising 2018 campaign as they move forward into 2019.

The Petrels saw returning junior Reagan Goodwin finish 18th at the SAA Championships in October, marking one of the best finishes for a Petrel women's cross country runner in SAA history.

She will return to the squad this year, and it will be bolstered by the additions of junior Courtney Stuart, sophomore Kennedy Arnold, and freshmen Kelly Connerley, Robin Stein and Sarah Brummett.

The season starts on Friday with a trip to Oxford, Alabama, for Jacksonville State's JSU Strut's Season Opener. After that, they'll head to East Ridge, Tennessee, for Chattanooga's UTC Twilight Meet on Sept. 13.

They'll get their first look at the Memphis course set to hose the NCAA Division III South/Southeast Regional when they compete in the Rhodes College Invitational on Sept. 21. They'll go back to Tennessee for the Sewanee Invitational on Sept. 28 and back to Oxford for the Foothills Invite on Oct. 5.

The Petrels get their first look at the SAA Championship course in northwest Georgia when they head to Mount Berry for the Berry Invitational on Oct. 19.

They'll return to Mount Berry for the SAA Cross Country Championships on Nov. 2, then go back to Memphis for the NCAA Regionals on Nov. 16.
